Flooring in Irvine and Newport Coast
Everything in a room rests on its floor. We choose it for how you live, then prepare what lies beneath so it stays beautiful.
What new flooring gives you
A surface that feels right underfoot and ages gracefully. Entries see grit, kitchens and baths see water, living areas see sun and daily wear.
We match the material to the room, then check what lies beneath.
What we check first
- Is the base flat, solid and dry enough for the product you chose?
- How will the new floor meet doors, thresholds and neighboring rooms?
- What care does the finished floor need?
How we work
We visit, measure and check the base. The written scope names the product, the method and what is included, such as removal of the old floor and transitions.
Other trades are coordinated, so the floor goes in last, and once.
Good to know
If the base fails the check, the answer may be repair, a different product or a different method. You hear it at the visit, not after the floor is down.
Common questions
Can new flooring go over my existing floor?
Sometimes, depending on the product and what lies beneath. We check the base for level, soundness and moisture before recommending a method.
Which floor suits a kitchen or bathroom?
Match the floor to water and wear. Ask whether both the product and the installation method are made for wet areas.
What about concrete floors?
Concrete needs its moisture and surface checked before anything goes over it. It is the step most often skipped, and the hardest to fix.
